The college has been accredited 'A' Grade by NAAC in the year 2016.

The College was accorded Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi in 1989 - 1990. It is the oldest Autonomous College of Madhya Pradesh.

The College is affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya [DAVV], Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which has been awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC in the year 2014

On the basis of quality Science Education, good infrastructural facilities and better output of the Autonomy, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has given the status of ‘Centre for Excellence’ in 2003 - 2004.

The College has adopted Semester System in Post Graduation from the session 1989 – 1990.

The college happens to be the first institution in the State to adopt Semester System in Under Graduation from the session 2003 – 2004.

Choice Based Credit System : Choice Based Credit System [CBCS] is being introduced at PG level [M.Sc. I - Semester] from the current Academic Session [i.e. 2015-16].
