01 — Overview
A premier institution, a single window for admission
Government Holkar (Model, Autonomous) Science College, Indore, established in 1891 and accredited with a NAAC ‘A++’ Grade, is one of the oldest and most respected science institutions in central India. The college is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore.
Admissions to all listed programmes are conducted through a fully online, merit-based system. The state-level e-Pravesh portal, managed by the Department of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh, is the official gateway to securing a seat at the college.
There is no offline or direct application to the college, and no management quota. Every seat is filled strictly on merit through the centralised counselling process. Registration windows open from time to time and are announced only on the e-Pravesh portal.
02 — The Gateway
How the e-Pravesh process works
A single online journey — from registration to seat confirmation. Follow the six steps below in order, and complete each within the window notified by the portal.
Fill the form
Enter accurate personal, academic and contact details, and upload scanned copies of your documents.
Choose college & course
Select “Government Holkar Science College, Indore” while filling your preferences. Up to 10 colleges may be chosen per round.
Verify documents
Upload the required documents for verification. Once verified, your application number is generated.
Pay the fee
Pay the prescribed registration fee online — the amount and exemptions are notified on the portal for each round.
Confirm your seat
Check your seat allotment after each counselling round and pay the admission fee within the deadline to confirm.
Official portal: epravesh.mponline.gov.in — also available through the “ePravesh MP” mobile app on Android and iOS. All registration windows, seat allotments and deadlines are published here, and nowhere else.

Courses, eligibility & selection
Undergraduate admissions for B.Sc. and BCA are based on Class 12 marks. M.Sc. admissions require a valid CUET PG score followed by DAVV counselling.
B.Sc.

- Passed 10+2 with Science stream (PCM / PCB) from a recognised board.

- Merit — based on Class 12 marks.
BCA
Undergraduate3 Years · 6 Semesters
- Eligibility
- Passed 10+2 in any stream with Computer Science or Mathematics.
- Selection basis
- Merit — based on Class 12 marks.
M.Sc.
Postgraduate2 Years · 4 Semesters
- Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Science subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Selection basis
- CUET PG score + DAVV counselling.
PGDCA
PG Diploma1 Year · 2 Semesters
- Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Selection basis
- Merit — based on the qualifying degree.
PGDY

04 — Status & Counselling
When admissions open
The college does not announce or schedule admission dates. Counselling is conducted by the Department of Higher Education, and every window opens on the e-Pravesh portal.
Admissions are currently closed
Registration will reopen on the MP e-Pravesh portal as and when notified by the Department of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh. Windows typically open more than once during a session.
Government Holkar Science College does not announce, schedule or control admission dates. The college only participates in the counselling conducted by the department. For all timelines, please rely solely on the e-Pravesh portal.
